INVERNESS
CLACHNACUDDIN SBRC

.
These are scans of batch-testing cards that have been shot on our
indoor 25yard range at Clach.
The cards were shot on 11/10/07. Having just returned from Bisley
I had about 12
different types of ammo to be batch tested.
My youngest son (13) also batch tested and his card is included too.
Conditions:
Evening shoot, indoors, black+decker workmate with a piece of worktop
floating on top - nothing screwed down! A front rest that suits
NSRA rules - that is hard + flat, no
side wings etc. In the shoulder for the rear rest (say that
another way - not the most secure but kind of OK for my level of
shooting) with a supporting hand.
My rifle is an Anschutz 2013 stock with a 1702 barrel - about 20K shots
down
barrel - and a cheap x40 scope on top.
The rifle was cleaned before the start and on each 'change of
make'. That is the Tenex was shot with no cleaning, but the
barrel was cleaned and a 'warming shot' put down the barrel when I
moved to e.g. Lapua. Thereafter
it was 1 warming shot (if needed) then 10 shots per target,
shooting 2 or 3 targets in the 10 minute detail, then a break while the
other shooter did his thing.
My son has an Anschutz 2013 stock with an older match 54 barrel - an
unknown shots down
barrel but the headspace is fine - he used a n equally cheap x24 tasco
scope. He
does not get involved in cleaning. He took a wee while to
sight-in as that scope had never been near his rifle before - hence the
mess in the middle!
Note that NO zeroing was performed - I am interested in group size not
hitting the middle. I forgot the issues of aiming at the middle
once the middle had been blown away, and only after the first three
targets on card1 I clicked the sights off and aimed at the while "8" at
12 o-clock. I reshot the first three targets to get a fair
comparison.
The links in the table below are to high-res (e.g. BIG) files.
Lower-res images are directly attached below.

Low-res pictures of the cards
The first batch of r100 had a great group (thats 9 bullets in the hole
in the target) but I had a strange noise and 'flyer' - which gave the 9.
The second group of 10 was not so tight - but had no flyers.

Card2
The Lapua Midas had a tendency to produce diagonal (2 to 7) type
holes. I reshot a group of this just to try to make sure it was
not an effect of my aim - in between times I had a good-enough central
group.
The 1041 speed (bottom right - and shot last) is my current ammo, I am
probably looking to move to the middle right ammo - but I will run a
few more tests before committing.
